DeKalb entrepreneur Jacob Haish founded this institution as his own private bank, of which he was the first president.
The bank moved across the street to the Northwest corner of Third Street and Main in 1907. In 1910, it was chartered as the Jacob Haish State Bank.
In 1922, the bank was purchased by First National Bank.
It changed locations again in 1967, moving to 141 West Lincoln Highway.
In 2000, the institution became Castle Bank, DeKalb.
