Beehive Building

Location: Southwest corner of Third Street and Lincoln Highway
Erected: 1885
Demolished: 1937

Built by DeKalb entrepreneur Jacob Haish this building is nicknamed for the beehive replica mounted on its apex. It housed many local businesses, including Aaron Goldsmith Clothier, Swanson's Electric, Leo's Taylor Shop, Malone's Meat Shop, Bradbury's Store, Snyder's Floral Shop and others.
